Teens4Troops is a non-profit organization started in 2008 by a small group of teens in Fernley, Nevada. Having relatives and/or friends in most of the branches of Military service prompted us to take a look beyond ourselves to see if we could do a little something to help our local troops and their families. Getting a helping hand from the Northern Nevada Veteran’s Coalition put us on our way. After speaking with soldiers, veterans and families, we found there were several things the men and women worry about when they are away from home. One was that their families had a tough time financially, especially with just basic needs. Clothing, shoes, and school supplies when the children start school would be a big help. Warm coats when winter sets in. Another was help in paying power bills and enough food to put on the table while they were away. Food baskets are great during the holidays, but there is also the rest of the year to worry about. Finally, they all felt it was important to recognize their fallen soldiers in some special way.

So it is because of their wish list, Teens 4 Troops has setup several fund raisers for this year. The two largest are listed below. We are now looking to you to help us in several different ways. $ Sponsorships, product and service donations. Donations to fund raffles or to send directly to the families are a huge help. The second way would be to purchase wreaths for the cemetery or tickets for our Sock Hop. Company sponsors will be listed with a “Thanks” in our “Teens 4 Troops” flyers as well as any local newspaper announcements.
